In 1853, after succeeding in producing the first \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Waterproof\" class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Waterproof\"\u003ewaterproof\u003c\/a\u003e wool, he had his discovery patented and renamed the company 'Aquascutum', \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Latin_(language)\" class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Latin (language)\"\u003eLatin\u003c\/a\u003e for 'watershield'. In 1901, Emary moved to 100 Regent Street in the heart of London.
